A Cockney born in London’s East End, I have a passion for the City of London and its history. If only the fire of 1666 and the bombings of World War II hadn’t destroyed so much of it. I would have loved to walk the streets to see them as they were back then
I became interested in the City while building my first web site after discovering the Internet in 2002. Since then a lot of time has been spent in the Square Mile with a pocket camera and the web site grew. It is now quite popular all over the world.
I decided to sign up for the guiding course at City University in 2008 to increase my knowledge of the City and was successful in all the examinations.
I don't believe in boring a group by spouting facts, figures and dates simply to impress, but try to impart the most relevant information in a relaxed manner and also try to bring a bit of humour into your tour.

A qualified City of London tour guide, a member of the City of London Guide Lecturers Association and a green badge holder from the Institute of Tourist Guiding. |
As well as exploring the main City sights and well known routes, I'll try to take you to places often missed by tourists. Most walks will have a theme but some will cover a miscellany of the City’s diverse buildings and places of interest. Hopefully these will stir some interest that will bring you back for a few of the more specific themes.
As well as running regular scheduled walks, I'll arrange one-off tours for groups if required. Please contact me if you have any questions or need additional information about my City of London guided tours.
